  Our intervention supports single mothers and their children living in the Herat province, ensuring they have access to food. In this province, there are over 10,000 female heads of households and more than 50,000 children in need of humanitarian assistance.

• Benin

  We have been working in Benin since 2008 to provide food and education to children and to support women's empowerment. Our focus areas include: promoting sexual and reproductive health rights; fostering inclusive education; building peace; ensuring food security and nutrition; and protecting and empowering women.

  WeWorld has been in Bolivia since 1987. Currently, we work in the La Paz department and the Amazon region, which includes areas affected by mining activities, and in the health sector, supporting the strengthening of the national health system.

  WeWorld has been working in Brazil since 2008, particularly in the state of Ceará in the northeast, in the areas of education, rights and gender equality, socio-economic development, and health. In Brazil, we are committed to supporting vulnerable communities, with a particular focus on children, women, education, and human rights.

  In the Sahel region, we work in the Soum province (Djibo) and Oudalan (Gorom-Gorom), focusing on internally displaced populations, vulnerable host communities, as well as children at risk of malnutrition and pregnant and breastfeeding women.

  WeWorld has been active in Burundi since 1994, with projects focused on water, nutrition, socio-economic development and health. Burundi has some of the highest malnutrition rates in the world. Our goal is to help strengthen the resilience of the Burundian population by increasing access to quality healthcare services.

  Cambodia is one of the poorest, most unequal, and most problematic countries in terms of human rights protection in Asia. WeWorld has been active in the country since 2009 with programs focused on primary education, child protection, youth employment, safe migration, and human rights.

  WeWorld has been working in the Democratic Republic of Congo since 2020, with interventions aimed at combating food insecurity and ensuring access to medical care.

  WeWorld has been in Cuba since 1993. Initially, our interventions focused on humanitarian assistance to support the local population affected by the economic crisis of the early 1990s. Over the years, we have developed cooperation projects to ensure food, health, education, socioeconomic development, and interventions for disaster risk reduction.

  We have been present in Libya since 2019 with a coordination office in Tripoli, providing humanitarian assistance and implementing development projects. We support the most vulnerable groups through actions aimed at strengthening civil society, ensuring access to basic needs, and upholding human rights.

  Mali is one of the poorest countries in the world and has been experiencing a deep socio-political crisis since 2012. We work to support the most vulnerable segments of the population by ensuring food security, child protection, and access to education in the regions hardest hit by the crisis.

• Moldova

  Thanks to the partnership with ChildFund Germany, WeWorld decided to intervene in Moldova immediately following the start of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, as it is one of the hottest borders in the war front. To date, WeWorld has supported over 20,000 people in the country, particularly women and children, with a multisectoral approach.

  WeWorld has been operating in Mozambique since 2000 and currently has operational offices in Maputo, Pemba (Cabo Delgado province), and Tete (Tete province). We intervene in both development and emergency response sectors, focusing on food security and agriculture for over 15 years.

• Nicaragua

  We have been working in Nicaragua since 1984, ensuring a constant presence in the country’s most vulnerable areas. We currently intervene in the fields of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, as well as disaster risk management.

  The main beneficiaries of our intervention are pregnant women, new mothers, and children up to 5 years old. In particular, we ensure access to enriched diets by distributing fortified flours to over 500 families with children up to 5 years old, from 20 villages in the Goudoumaria department.

• Palestinian Territory

  WeWorld has been in Palestine since 1992. Our staff is currently in the West Bank and Gaza, at the center of the emergency, responding to the humanitarian crisis by distributing water to families forced to leave their homes under bombardment and ensuring sanitary conditions in hospitals and overcrowded informal settlements.

  We have been in Syria since 2011, before the start of the crisis, with three offices: Damascus, Aleppo, and Deir ez-Zor. In 2024, we began operations in the Raqqa governorate. Our work focuses on education in emergencies, water and sanitation services (WASH), and more recently, early recovery and livelihoods.

  WeWorld has been working in Tanzania for over 13 years, since 2010, in the regions of Njombe, Tanga, Mtwara, and Dar es Salaam. Our interventions in the country focus on education, sanitation and hygiene services, protection, defense of the rights of children and women, and community engagement.

  WeWorld has been in Thailand since 2017 with projects addressing migration, combating human trafficking, and forced labor. Our interventions target migrant workers in the fishing and fish processing industries and construction sector in Thailand.

  After the outbreak of war in February 2022, WeWorld immediately intervened to assist those forced to flee their homes in the eastern regions of the country. We activated local partners from the very first hours and later established a stable emergency response presence, providing food, shelter, medicine, and essential goods.
